Details!
Hi everyone! Sorry for not updating. All is going well here. Yesterday was the first day of lectures. Here is a basic day for me... breakfast is from 7:30 to 8. Then from 8 to 8:50 we have scheduled quiet time. We can pray, read our bibles, sing, whatever we feel led to do. Then we have a 10 minute break before the first class. From 10-11 am we have a time of teaching by one of the staff, then at 11 we turn on a video with a 1 hour lecture. Right now the video we're using is called "Ancient Paths." It has been very good so far. We have discussed blessings and cursing so far... and we will be doing these video lectures all week. Next week we will do something else I think... I'm not really sure. At noon we take a 15 minute "tea break" (because they don't drink coffee too much) and have some small snacks; cookies and that sort of thing. Then we watch another section of the video series. We do 2 lessons of that a day. At 1:30 we eat lunch, then we have free time until 3. We also take turns cleaning up after meals. I have lunch duty all this week, which means I do dishes and wipe tables and that sort of thing. Yuri and Veronika are on lunch duty with me this week, but it will change each week. At 3, we do our cleaning duties. They have a schedule for that as well... I am on this week to help clean the first floor of the house. It includes the lecture room, a bathroom, a shower room (no toilets. just 2 sinks and 2 showers), the laundry room, and a small living room/office. We must vacuum and mop all the floors, and clean the bathroom and showers. I am on a team with Yuri and Natasha this week... but again it will change weekly. I won't be with the same people the whole time. After our chores are done, we have free time until dinner. That is usually between 6 and 6:30. After dinner we are free until bed. Some days we have one-on-one with one of our leaders... I think we have that 3 times a week, but I'm not sure. We also are required to read Loren Cunningham's book "Is that really You God?" We can do that on free times. We will be required to write a report on that when we finish. We have 2 weeks to read the book, but I will be done before that I'm sure. I am starting to understand much more Russian than before. Yuri, one of the other students, speaks pretty fluent English and he has been teaching me Russian. I point at something and ask him to say it in Russian, and I say it in English if he doesn't already know the work. It is a good way to learn I think. I really don't know what else to write, but I'm sure I will have more tomorrow. Again I apologize for the sporadic updates, I'll try to be more consistent. I love and miss all of you. Slava boga! (That means "praise god" in Russian)

Missy, Thank you for the "details", now that's what I'm talking about. You know your mother needs the details. Pictures are good too since I'm a visual learner, lol! I'll prob have Wjr help me set up a facebook soon, and hopefully we'll connect on Skype soon too. We went to Subway & the library today after Bible Study. Dad got some new baseballs and a T for Jordy, so the kids are outside now playing. All these things remind me of you ; ) Miss ya & love ya,
