First week in India!

Hey Everyone!
My week has been kind of hard but very good at the same time! It was really hard for me to adjust to how hot it is here. It gets up to 110 during the day and like in the lower 90's at night. Thank God that we have ceiling fans. We lose power every day at least once for 5-10 minutes or more, so then we are all dying cause the fans aren't working.
We are living at the orphanage, which I already said in my last post i think. There is a team here from California who are helping us with the kids. The bottom picture is some of us at the park with the kids. I'll get individual pictures of each of the kids and post them so you can know their names. We do English lessons, drawing lessons or crafts, and we take them to the park to play at night. We also take shifts one day a week getting up at 6 and entertaining them till 7:30.
We did this Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saterday. Sunday we only had a half day because the American team took over after the kids naptime. Friday we went out to this really poor part of Delhi and went to this church where they feed street kids. We washed, dried, combed, and trimmed their hair. I was REALLY nervous about lice, and trust me when I say that every head there was full of them! Praise God no one from our team or the American's team got them. We all had hats or bandanas and all the girls had their hair up so that was good.
After we did the kids hair (by the way the top 3 pictures are from that church. Those are all the kids. I think there was probably close to 100 kids there), we fed them. Then we went back to a friend of Sasha's and had dinner ourselves. Sunday we went to City Mall in the evening. It is like Crossgates, it's HUGE!!!! They have all kinds of American stores, DKNY, MAC, Van Hausen, and lots more. They also have Subway and KFC!!!!!!!! I got KFC for dinner with Andrea and Yura. It was both their first times but they both loved it! I have to get the pics from Yura's camera of me and himm eating. They are great! Well, I have to go for now. I love and miss you all!! Namaste!!!
