I'M IN INDIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Namaste means "Hello" in Hindi. I thought that any Lost fans reading this would like to know that (CC). I left Simferopol Sunday night by train at 5pm. We arrived in Kyiv at 8:45 the next morning. We had a few hours wait in Kyiv before we had to be at the airport. For those of you who went on the Ukraine trip in '04, you might remember Igor. Well, I found him on Facebook and we had been chatting a little. He met our team at the train station and sat with us for awhile. We all got McDonalds and just chatted. Then we left for the airport at 1pm. We got there and sat for about 3 hours before we could board our plane. Our flight was great!! The movie was Prince Caspian, so I was happy to actually get a half decent movie for once. The food was plane food, no other real way to describe it... hahaha. Today I got to meet the orphans that we will be working with. As of right now there are 12 of them, but sometime soon there will be 9 more coming. They range in age from about 4-10, maybe? It's kind of hard to look at them and try to guess their ages. I got to teach English today. It was really fun!!! They have cards with different fruits and vegetables and the kids have to tell me what the thing is and what color it is. They are so enthusiastic!!! I got all into it  too. I think that today we have a down day  because we just got here. I kind of want to do something, so I'm gonna see if I can get in on what everyone is doing. Well, I really don't have too much else to write yet. I have wi-fi in our building but the time difference here is 9 hours. If you get on Skype around 1pm your time I should be on. Live and miss all of you very much!!!
God bless!!

Missy,
ReplyDeleteIt is wonderful to hear about the things you are doing while you are half way around the world. I pray that God, through His Spirit, is working deeply and powerfully in your life... not only to reach others, but just as importantly to refine you for a lifetime of service for Him!
Love and miss ya!
